GHF Venture Forum (“Venture Forum,” “we,” “us”) is operated under the Global Health Forum, a non-profit organization. This policy describes the personal information we collect from founders, investors, partners, and visitors to this site, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
1. What we collect
We collect information you provide directly, information collected automatically when you use this site, and information from third parties that helps us evaluate applications and operate the program.
Information you provide
- Identity & contact data (name, title, email, phone, organization).
- Application data (company description, stage, sector, traction signals, supporting documents).
- Investor or partner profile data (firm, role, areas of interest).
- Communications you send to info@ghfventures.com or other GHF channels.
Information collected automatically
- Device, browser, and operating-system identifiers.
- IP address and approximate location derived from it.
- Pages visited, referring URL, and aggregate usage analytics.
Information from third parties
- Public-record diligence (company registry, press, professional profiles).
- Information from co-investors, sector leads, or judges who refer or vouch for applicants.
2. How we collect it
Through the application form linked from the Apply CTA; through email correspondence; through event registration with the Global Health Forum; through cookies and similar technologies on this site (see Section 5); and through diligence work performed by GHF Ventures team members and judges.
3. How we use information
- To evaluate applications and select the cohort, finalists, and winner.
- To facilitate introductions among founders, investors, and partners with consent.
- To produce, operate, and improve the Venture Forum event and surrounding programs.
- To communicate with you about the program, including occasional newsletters you can opt out of.
- To meet our legal, accounting, and reporting obligations.
We do not sell personal information. We do not share applicant data with sponsors, advertisers, or third-party data brokers.
4. Sharing with third parties
We share personal information only with the following categories of recipients:
- GHF Ventures team and judges who evaluate applications, including sector leads, co-chairs, the venture advisor, and panel judges. All read submissions in confidence.
- WestBridge Capital as our strategic capital partner, for the purpose of evaluating finalists and conducting diligence on the Venture Forum winner.
- Vendors and service providers who help us operate the site, host data, send email, run analytics, and produce the event — under confidentiality and data-protection terms.
- Counsel, auditors, and regulators when legally required.
- Successors in connection with a merger, acquisition, or reorganization of GHF.
5. Cookies & analytics
This site uses cookies and similar technologies to make the site work, remember preferences, and measure traffic. Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. Aggregated, non-identifying analytics may be used to improve the program.
6. International transfers
GHF operates across the United States, India, and other markets. Your information may be processed in countries other than where you reside. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) to protect your information when transferred internationally.
7. Data retention
We retain personal information for as long as necessary to run the program, evaluate future cohorts in light of historical context, and comply with legal obligations. You may request deletion of your application data at any time (see Section 8).
8. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information; to object to or restrict certain processing; to withdraw consent; and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
To exercise any of these rights, write to info@ghfventures.com. We will respond within a reasonable period and consistent with applicable law (CCPA, CPRA, GDPR, and other jurisdiction-specific frameworks).
9. Children’s data
The Venture Forum is intended for adults operating in healthcare. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information. No system is perfectly secure; if you believe your account or application has been compromised, contact us immediately.
11. Health-data note
The Venture Forum is a competition for healthcare companies; we are not a covered entity or business associate under HIPAA. Do not submit protected health information (PHI) or identified patient data in your application. If a clinical-evidence document is required, redact PHI before sending. We treat any PHI received in error as confidential and delete it on identification.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the latest revision. Material changes will be communicated via email or a notice on this page.
